2X6 AWG Shepherd AAC ACSR Duplex Twisted Conductor Overhead Aluminium Service Drop Cable with XLPE Insulation​ The 2×6 AWG Shepherd cable is a high-performance overhead service drop solution, combining AAC (All-Aluminum Conductor) and ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) in a duplex twisted design. Engineered for residential and light commercial power connections, its 6 AWG conductors deliver 75A continuous current at 90°C, ideal for linking utility lines to buildings.​ XLPE insulation ensures -40°C to 90°C operation with UV and moisture resistance, while the "Shepherd" designation certifies compliance with utility standards. The duplex twisted structure reduces EMI and enhances installation efficiency, eliminating the need for separate neutral conductors. ACSR’s steel core adds tensile strength (800N), supporting 30m spans between poles and buildings.​ Compliant with ASTM B230 and IEC 60888, this cable simplifies service drop installations, cutting labor time by 25%. Its aluminum construction balances conductivity (61% IACS) and lightweight durability, making it a reliable choice for overhead power delivery.
