Copper polyvinyl chloride (PVC) wire electric cables, as common products in the field of power transmission, are widely used in industrial, construction, and civil scenarios due to the excellent conductivity of copper conductors and the good insulation properties of PVC materials. Among them, the 5X25mm², 5X16mm², and 5X10mm² specifications have become core choices for medium and small power distribution systems because they adapt to various power needs.​ In terms of structural design, all three specifications of cables adopt a "multi-core stranded" design, consisting of 5 independently insulated copper conductors. The conductor material is high-purity electrolytic copper with a purity of over 99.9%, ensuring extremely low resistance and minimal energy loss during current transmission. Each conductor is wrapped with a polyvinyl chloride insulation layer. PVC material not only has good electrical insulation performance but also features acid and alkali resistance, anti-aging, and flame retardancy, which can effectively isolate current interference between conductors and ensure electrical safety. The entire outer layer of the cable is further wrapped with a PVC sheath to enhance mechanical protection, resisting external extrusion, abrasion, and environmental erosion.​ In terms of performance parameters, the differences between the three mainly lie in conductor cross-sectional area and current-carrying capacity. The 5X10mm² cable has a single-core cross-sectional area of 10mm², with a long-term allowable current-carrying capacity of approximately 50-60A, suitable for power supply of medium and small power equipment, such as household central air conditioners and small industrial machinery. The 5X16mm² cable has a single-core cross-sectional area of 16mm², with a current-carrying capacity increased to 70-80A, meeting the needs of scenarios such as medium-sized motor power supply and power distribution trunk lines in multi-story buildings. The 5X25mm² cable has a single-core cross-sectional area of 25mm², with a current-carrying capacity of up to 90-100A, suitable for high-power transmission scenarios such as large equipment power supply, main circuits of industrial production lines, and outdoor power distribution projects. All three have a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV and a long-term operating temperature range of -15℃ to 70℃, which can adapt to most indoor and outdoor environments.​ In terms of application fields, these three specifications of cables cover diverse scenarios from civil to industrial use. The 5X10mm² cable is often used in indoor power distribution of residences, shop lighting, and power connections of small household appliances. Its compact size facilitates pipe laying, adapting to hidden projects in home decoration. The 5X16mm² cable is widely used in power distribution systems of medium-sized buildings such as office buildings and hotels, as well as power supply lines of elevators, water pumps, and other equipment, balancing current-carrying capacity and installation convenience. The 5X25mm² cable plays a role in main distribution circuits of factory workshops and large shopping malls, capable of connecting high-power equipment such as injection molding machines and central air conditioning hosts to ensure stable power transmission. In addition, all three are suitable for dry or humid indoor environments and can also be used in some outdoor sheltered places. However, in extreme low-temperature or highly corrosive environments, additional protective measures are required.​ In summary, the 5X25mm², 5X16mm², and 5X10mm² copper core PVC cables, relying on the efficient conductivity of copper conductors and the reliable protection of PVC materials, form a gradient power transmission solution. They can not only meet the flexible deployment of medium and small power scenarios but also support the stable operation of high-power equipment, serving as key components with both practicality and economy in power systems.
