    The 15kV 133% BIL XLPE cable is a high-performance cable specially designed for medium-voltage power transmission. Its core parameters and structural design fully meet the stringent requirements of industrial and municipal power transmission systems, especially in terms of stability and safety. The cable offers two conductor cross-sectional area options: 100mm² and 200mm², adapting to scenarios with different current-carrying needs and providing flexible and reliable solutions for power transmission.​ The conductor part is made of high-purity copper material, which has excellent electrical conductivity, effectively reducing energy loss during power transmission and ensuring the efficiency of power transmission. The 100mm² conductor is suitable for medium current load scenarios, such as branch lines of urban distribution networks and power supply for small industrial parks. The 200mm² conductor can meet the needs of larger current transmission, commonly used in main power supply lines of large industrial facilities, power collection lines of new energy projects, etc. Both specifications of conductors have undergone precise stranding process, which enhances the flexibility of the cable, facilitating installation in complex environments such as underground direct burial, pipeline penetration design,and cable trench laying.​ The insulation layer is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material, which endows the cable with excellent electrical performance and durability. XLPE has extremely high insulation resistance and electrical strength, and can work stably under the rated voltage of 15kV, effectively isolating the conductor from the external environment and preventing faults such as leakage and breakdown. At the same time, XLPE material has good temperature resistance, and can operate normally in the ambient temperature range of -40℃ to 90℃. It can even withstand high temperatures of 130℃ during short-term overload, adapting to possible temperature fluctuations in the power transmission process. In addition, XLPE has strong chemical stability, not easily affected by acids, alkalis, oils, moisture and other factors, which greatly prolongs the service life of the cable and reduces maintenance costs.​ The 133% impulse withstand voltage (BIL) of the cable is its significant performance highlight. This index means that the cable can withstand instantaneous impulse voltages far exceeding the rated voltage, such as lightning impulses and operating overvoltages, effectively reducing the risk of insulation damage caused by sudden voltage fluctuations and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power system. This high impulse withstand capability is particularly important in thunderstorm-prone areas, around substations with frequent high-voltage switch operations, and in new energy projects (such as wind power and photovoltaic power stations, which are vulnerable to weather factors).​ The overall structural design of the cable takes both safety and practicability into account. In addition to copper conductors and XLPE insulation layers, it is usually equipped with shielding layers and outer sheaths. The shielding layer is mostly wrapped with copper tape or copper wire, which can evenly distribute the electric field, reduce insulation aging caused by electric field concentration, and play an electromagnetic shielding role at the same time, reducing electromagnetic interference to surrounding equipment. The outer sheath is generally made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE) materials, which have good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and moisture resistance, further protecting the internal structure from damage by the external environment.​ To sum up, the 15kV 133% BIL XLPE cable, with its excellent conductor performance, reliable XLPE insulation, high impulse withstand capability and two flexible conductor specifications, is suitable for various medium-voltage power transmission scenarios of 15kV grade, providing stable, efficient and safe power transmission guarantee for urban power grids, industrial production, new energy development and other fields.
