    U1000 R2V 4×1.5mm² and 4×2.5mm² copper power cables are general-purpose cables suitable for low-voltage power distribution systems. With stable electrical performance and reliable structural design, they are widely used in fixed wiring scenarios in construction, industry, municipal administration and other fields. In their model, "U1000" represents a rated voltage of 1000V, "R2V" indicates that they adopt a structure of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and PVC sheath, and "4×1.5mm²" and "4×2.5mm²" respectively mean 4-core conductors with a single core cross-sectional area of 1.5mm² and 2.5mm².​ In terms of specification parameters, both cables are designed with 4 cores, suitable for three-phase four-wire power distribution needs. The single core conductor of the 4×1.5mm² cable is formed by stranding 19 high-purity copper wires with a diameter of 0.3mm, with a single core diameter of about 1.8mm. At 20℃, the DC resistance of a single core is ≤12.1Ω/km, and the total weight of the 4 cores is about 80kg per kilometer. The single core of the 4×2.5mm² cable is stranded by 19 copper wires with a diameter of 0.4mm, with a single core diameter of about 2.3mm, a single core DC resistance of ≤7.41Ω/km, and a total 4-core weight of about 120kg per kilometer. The insulation layers are all made of PVC material. The insulation thickness of 4×1.5mm² is 0.7mm-0.9mm, and that of 4×2.5mm² is 0.8mm-1.0mm. The insulation resistance is ≥100MΩ·km, the dielectric loss tangent is ≤0.03 (50Hz), the long-term operating temperature is -15℃ to 70℃, and it can withstand 80℃ high temperature during short-term overload. The sheath is also made of PVC material. The sheath thickness of 4×1.5mm² is 0.6mm-0.8mm, and that of 4×2.5mm² is 0.7mm-0.9mm. The tensile strength is ≥12MPa, the elongation at break is ≥150%, and the oxygen index is ≥28, with basic flame retardant performance. In terms of overall parameters, the outer diameter of 4×1.5mm² cable is about 8mm-10mm, the bending radius is ≥4 times the outer diameter (about 32mm-40mm), and the current-carrying capacity in air is about 16A-18A; the outer diameter of 4×2.5mm² is about 10mm-12mm, the bending radius is ≥4 times the outer diameter (about 40mm-48mm), and the current-carrying capacity in air is about 24A-26A, all in line with relevant industry standards.​ In terms of characteristic applications, the two cables are suitable for different scenarios due to specification differences. The 4×1.5mm² cable is suitable for residential lighting systems, small household appliance socket circuits and wiring from weak current boxes to various rooms. Its slender outer diameter is convenient for laying in wall pipes, such as the connection between living room, bedroom lamps and switches, or the power supply lines of office computers, printers and other equipment in studies. The 4×2.5mm² cable is mostly used in areas with concentrated high-power electrical appliances such as kitchens and bathrooms, and can be connected to electric water heaters, microwave ovens, range hoods and other equipment. It is also suitable for power supply of small office equipment (such as copiers, projectors) in office buildings and line connection of fire alarm systems. In the industrial field, 4×1.5mm² can be used as control loop cables to connect small motors, sensors and control cabinets; 4×2.5mm² is used for power lines of workshop auxiliary equipment (such as ventilation fans, small water pumps), and its stable current-carrying capacity can meet the continuous operation needs of the equipment. In addition, the two cables are also used in municipal engineering, such as branch lines from street lamp control boxes to lamps, wiring of park landscape lighting systems, etc. The weather resistance of PVC sheath can adapt to mild outdoor wind and rain environments.​ In terms of materials and processes, the conductor is made of electrolytic copper with a purity of ≥99.95% and a conductivity of ≥58MS/m, ensuring low-loss power transmission; the stranding process adopts regular stranding with uniform pitch to reduce the skin effect of current. The PVC materials for insulation and sheath are added with antioxidants and stabilizers to improve aging resistance and prolong service life. During production, both insulation and sheath are extruded through a tube-type mold, closely attached to the conductor without defects such as bubbles and wrinkles. The finished products undergo strict inspections such as voltage withstand test (2000V/1min without breakdown) and bending test (≥5000 times without cracking) to ensure reliable quality.​ In terms of price, the market unit price of 4×1.5mm² cable is about 8-12 yuan/meter, and 4×2.5mm² is about 12-16 yuan/meter, which is greatly affected by copper price fluctuations (copper accounts for more than 60% of the cost). Bulk purchases (more than 500 meters) can enjoy a 3%-5% discount. Compared with the same type of aluminum core cable, the unit price is 40%-50% higher, but the conductivity is better, suitable for scenarios with high requirements for power transmission efficiency.​ In summary, U1000 R2V 4×1.5mm² and 4×2.5mm² copper power cables, with their strong adaptability, stable performance and moderate cost, have become ideal choices for low-voltage fixed wiring.
